Frequently Asked Questions

Insurance & Payment

Do you take Delta Dental, MetLife or United Healthcare?

We accept most PPO dental insurance plans. Delta Dental, MetLife and United Healthcare are among the carriers we work with. Give us your plan details and we can check your benefits.

Do you offer payment plans for dentures or other big treatment?

Yes. We work with several financing companies: CareCredit, Cherry, Sunbit and Healthcare Finance Direct. Each one offers ways to spread the cost of larger treatment into monthly payments. See our payment options.

How much does SureSmile cost, and will insurance help?

SureSmile treatment costs between $3,950 and $4,750, depending on how complex your case is. If you have insurance, we will file a claim for your orthodontic coverage. Read more about SureSmile costs.

Dental Emergencies

How quickly can I be seen for a dental emergency?

We try to see patients the same day or within 48 hours. Call us as soon as the problem starts. Learn more about emergency dental treatment.

Is a swollen face from a tooth infection an emergency?

Facial swelling needs to be seen by a dentist so we can find out whether there is an infection. Call us to be seen. If swelling makes it hard to breathe or swallow, go to the ER.

What should I do if a permanent tooth is knocked out?

Call our office right away to schedule an appointment.

Treatments & Comfort

What happens if I put off a root canal?

An infection inside a tooth does not go away on its own. Waiting can let the infection spread and the tooth weaken, and a tooth that could have been saved may need to come out. Treating it early gives you the best chance of keeping your natural tooth. Read more about root canal therapy.

What denture options do you offer?

We offer full dentures, for when all the teeth in an arch are missing, and partial dentures, which replace several missing teeth. For more stability, implant-supported dentures may also be an option. Read more about dentures.

Is Zoom whitening or a take-home kit better for me?

It depends on you and your habits. We can help you decide which option suits you best. Read more about Zoom whitening.

Is SureSmile the same as Invisalign?

They are both clear aligner systems. SureSmile is the clear aligner system we offer at our office.

Can I be put to sleep for dental work?

No. We do not put patients to sleep for dental work.
